Emergency First Aid Training

This one-day course takes approximately 8 hours to complete and includes essential cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training. With expert instruction and hands-on practice, you’ll gain the confidence and skills needed to respond to real-life emergencies.

Certification

Upon successful completion of our basic first aid training, participants receive an OH&S-approved St. Mark James Training certificate. This wallet-sized card is valid for three years, with wall-mount certificates available upon request. All certifications meet Alberta workplace safety and legislative requirements for workers requiring one-day basic first aid training.

Course Length

The standard course length is 8 hours when paired with basic CPR training. Participants opting for CPR HCP / BLS certification should expect an additional 1 to 2 hours of instruction.

CPR and AED Training Included

CPR and AED training are mandatory components of our emergency first aid training. During registration, participants can choose their preferred level of CPR training:

  • CPR Level “A” – One-person rescues for adult victims
  • CPR Level “C” – One- and two-person rescues for adult, child, and infant victims
  • CPR Level “HCP” / BLS – One- and two-person rescues for adult, child, and infant victims using advanced equipment and pulse checks

Course Cost

Our emergency first aid courses are competitively priced based on the level of CPR training included:

  • Emergency First Aid and CPR Level “A” or “C” with AED – $109.99
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR Level “HCP” / BLS with AED – $119.99

Transfer or Refund Policy

Please note that transfers or refunds are not accepted within 72 hours of the course start time. Prior to this period, you may request a full refund.

Prerequisites

Participants must be at least 12 years old to enroll in our basic first aid courses.

Additional Notes

To successfully complete the course, participants must:

  • Achieve a minimum score of 75% on a multiple-choice exam
  • Attend 100% of the course sessions
  • Successfully demonstrate all required skills
